The Altendorf F5 NEXT Edgebander is the ideal edge banding solution for the small to mid-size cabinet shop looking for a versatile machine to produce high-quality cabinet components and cabinet doors with nearly invisible glue joints. The diamond pre-milling cutterheads produce a precise edge quality which ensures a tight and virtually seamless bond. The quick-change glue pot provides high flexibility allowing for the use of EVA and PUR glues in addition to fast changeover between different colours of glue.

Additional change over quick heating glue pot

Release spraying agent

By applying the release agent to the top and bottom of the panel, leaked adhesive residues sticking to the workpiece is prevented. Consumption is less than one litre for about 5000 running metres per nozzle.

Cleaning spraying agent

The cleaning agent spraying system sprays the detergent onto the top and bottom of the workpiece edge areas. By applying the cleaning agent and the subsequent polishing unit, the release agent applied in the infeed of the machine and the loose adhesive residues are removed.

Lubricant spraying

With an additional nozzle, the lubricant sprays sideways onto the edge band surface. The damp edge/film transports the grease agent further. In this way, damage and marking is prevented by touch/sliding blocks on sensitive edge bands (e.g. acrylic). In addition, applied protective films do not detach from the edge band

The XPRS Return Conveyors especially designed for use with smaller edge banders operating at a feed speed of 40 fpm or less. Its low cost and tiny footprint make it the perfect choice of small to medium size cabinet makers.
