INSIDE SALES – PARTS SPECIALIST

WOODWORKING & METALWORKING MACHINERY (EDMONTON, AB)

Job Summary:

Working from our Edmonton office, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to Akhurst’s customers and outside Sales Representatives. Candidates should be proficient in the MS Office suite of applications, with prior exposure to CRM and ERP software. The Parts Sales Specialist will be a hands-on, organized and motivated individual with a desire to help us grow our operations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming calls to service customers in fulfilling their parts, tooling and supplies requirements
  • Communicate with suppliers and enter purchase/sales orders to the company’s ERP system
  • Track orders to ensure timely delivery, keeping customers informed of any updates
  • Handle incoming calls and walk in traffic for machine inquiries, directing customers to the appropriate Outside Sales Representative
  • Assist and support the sales team in achieving sales and operational goals, generating equipment leads where appropriate in the process
  • Continue to update our customer database so that we can best serve our customers on an ongoing basis and grow our company for the future
  • Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse responsibilities
  • Other projects/tasks as assigned

Education & Experience:

  • Parts sales and customer service experience required
  • Knowledge of metalworking machinery/parts is beneficial
  • Forklift license/warehouse experience

Specialized Skills:

  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, etc a requirement.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics software (CRM and Navision) is an asset
  • Highly organized, with a high level of accuracy and thoroughness
  • Ability to take initiative and be proactive in follow through
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated and energetic with a positive attitude
  • Keen interest in providing superior customer service
  • Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and problem solve, thinking ahead to anticipate customer needs
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, multitask
  • Motivated to learn
